VOLUNTEERING
The Fair Lawn Football Association depends on family volunteers to help make each game day successful. Each family is required to complete six hours of volunteer service during the season. Families must provide a $200 volunteer deposit check, which will be returned or destroyed after the required hours are completed. If the six-hour requirement is not fulfilled, the deposit check will be cashed.
Time spent serving as a Junior Coach does not count toward a family’s six required volunteer hours.
Please check with Coach Amanda, who is in charge of logging volunteer hours. Hours will be accounted for by XXX.
Concessions
Concession volunteers help serve food and drinks, collect payments, restock items, and keep the concession area organized. No previous experience is necessary, and instructions will be provided at the start of each shift.
Chain Crew
Chain crew volunteers work along the sideline during football games, operating the down marker and yardage chains. Volunteers must remain attentive, follow the officials’ directions, and maintain a safe distance from the field of play.
Field Setup
Field setup volunteers help prepare the facility before games and special events. Responsibilities may include placing field equipment and cones, setting up tables and signs, preparing team areas, and ensuring the facility is ready for players and spectators.
Field Cleanup
Field cleanup volunteers help restore the facility after games and events. Duties may include collecting trash, removing signs and equipment, cleaning team and spectator areas, and ensuring the field is left in good condition.
50/50 Game Day Sales
50/50 volunteers sell raffle tickets to spectators during home games. Volunteers should be friendly, clearly explain the raffle, and accurately handle ticket sales and payments. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle help support the program.
